Our Special Operations Division recently conducted compliance checks at 68 convenience stores throughout Lebanon to ensure businesses are following state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, vape products, and tobacco.
During the operation, employees at the following six businesses failed to verify identification before making a sale:
-Smokers House and Vape – 306 Coles Ferry Pike
-Twice Daily 6135 – 911 South Hartmann Drive
-Sudden Service 8087 – 924 Murfreesboro Road
-Speedway 7148 – 450 Highway 109
-Sudden Service 7203 – 320 Highway 109
-Thorntons 616 – 15025 Central Pike
We want to emphasize that, at this time, only the employees involved have been charged.
Additionally, the City of Lebanon Beer Board has been notified of the businesses that failed the compliance checks for further review.
The Lebanon Police Department conducts these compliance checks multiple times each year to help prevent underage access to alcohol, nicotine vape products, and tobacco. Under Tennessee law, these products may only be sold to individuals 21 years of age or older after proper identification has been verified.
